      Why not to miss the Indian Formula One GP 2012

      The 17th race of the 2012 Formula One World Championship will be the country's biggest entertaining spectacle and CarTrade.com has taken the initiative and mustered some interesting points as in why not to miss the most expensive global sporting event.

      First of all, the 2012 Formula One Airtel Indian Grand Prix will witness six previous World Champions fighting for the pole position, comprising Michael Schumacher, Kimi Räikkönen, Sebastian Vettel, Fernando Alonso, Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton. With such inspiring winning prospects, the Indian Formula One Grand Prix will leave the spectators holding their breath as they witness the nerve wrenching contest at the Buddh International Circuit (BIC), the venue of the Grand Prix.

      The three day entertainment fixture has been scheduled to take place from October 26 to October 28, 2012. The initial two days will mark the practise sessions and race qualifiers, respectively, while the final race event will commence at 1500 hours (IST) on Sunday October 28, 2012.

      The 17th round of the 2012 Formula One World Championship season is going to be the Formula One legend Michael Schumacher's last race on Indian soil. The intense rivalry on the circuit between the six participating ex-champions is going to be missed from next season as Michael Schumacher announced his retirement from the globally renowned motor racing spectacle at the 2012 Japanese Grand Prix in Suzuka. Accordingly, all Indian Schumacher fans will be grappling for the race tickets, in order to see the German Formula One exponent for the final time.

      Further, the championship is at a critical point as currently, Ferrari team's Fernando Alonso leads the 2011 World Champion Sebastian Vettel of the Red Bull Racing-Renault team by just four points. The battle for top position will make the Indian Grand Prix more exciting and definitely ups the thrill quotient of the event, besides giving the spectators goosebumps by even thinking about the race. Evidently, Vettel won the 2011 edition of the Indian Formula One Grand Prix and many sport enthusiasts believe that the 25 year old German driver is clearly the frontrunner for this year's race as well.

      The 5.14 km BIC racetrack is considered among the world's fastest Formula One circuits with average speed corresponding to 208 kmph and most of the drivers repeatedly exceed the 330 kmph speed mark. The race features 60 adrenaline pumping and nerve cracking laps of enormous speed, where each race driver requires a time bracket of just one minute and 24 seconds for traversing the entire track length. The Buddh International Circuit has been designed by Jaypee Sports International Limited (JPSI), a subsidiary of Jaiprakash Associates Limited (JAL), and can accommodate MotoGP races as well.
