Reports have suggested that Volkswagen is all set to use the Paris Motor Show as a platform to showcase its first electric vehicle.

That was quick! It was just a few months ago that the car maker revealed their objective of launching more than 30 electric vehicles by 2025. VW earlier admitted that more electric vehicles would be inevitable considering the tight restrictions on CO2 emissions. However, the interesting bit here is that sources have highlighted that VW’s new electric vehicle has the ability to run anywhere between 400km and 600km on a single charge! And this is noteworthy, even though it is as per ideal conditions. With a true figure in the region of 480km, it is still quite significant.

There are a few assumptions on how the body style of the VW’s upcoming EV will make it to the Paris Motor Show. While some believe that it could be a variation of the BUDD-e, there are others who feel that it could relate to a hatchback with lots of luggage space. Nevertheless, we’re looking at a car that’s in the early stages of development, and should debut in the international arena in 2019.

After what they’ve been through in recent times, it looks like there’s a lot more to expect from Volkswagen’s electric vehicles, in the years to come.
