Volvo Auto India will launch the XC90 Excellence Lounge Console on 3 September. The model will be based on the XC90 Excellence trim and will come with a three-seat layout unlike the four-seat layout in the latter.
Features that differentiate the Volvo XC90 Excellence Lounge Console from the standard XC90 Excellence variant include a three-seat layout where the front passenger seat makes way for a new unit that will include a rising leg rest, large fold away touchscreen system and a storage compartment. Apart from these changes, the model will continue to be equipped with all the features available on the regular XC90 Excellence trim such as the crystal glass, champagne flute holders and even an in-built refrigerator.
Propelling the Volvo XC90 Excellence Lounge Console variant will be the same 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbocharged and supercharged petrol engine paired to an electric motor. The combined power output of this powertrain will produce 401bhp and 640Nm of torque, mated to an eight-speed automatic gearbox. Volvo will launch the model as a limited edition variant in the XC90 line-up.
