Volvo India will launch its luxury SUV model XC60 in Indian on November 24. This will be the company’s first SUV model in the country and will mark its foray in the segment in India. "Volvo XC60 owes its unique appeal to the synthesis of strikingly sporty design and a range of intelligent and smart safety systems," the company said in a statement.
“We believe in innovating for life and Volvo XC60 bears testimony to our commitment. It is essential to establish the differentiator in one's offering, the XC60 will not only redefine our technological DNA, but will also form an integral part of our volume expansion strategy for India going forward," Volvo Auto India Managing Director Paul de Voijs said.
Volvo India has not revealed the price of the model so far and will announce the same at the time of the launch. The new Volvo XC60 is expected to feature 2.4L diesel engine and a 3.2L AWD model. The model will also be laden with technological innovations such as Laser and Camera assisted Automatic Braking (City Safety). This new technology will assist in stopping the car automatically to mitigate a collision even if the driver does not put the brakes on time.
