The cabin of the Volvo XC40 has been revealed in a new set of spy images ahead of its official debut later this year. Despite some heavy camouflage, we can clearly see that this is a Volvo, thanks to the various elements as well as their placement.
In the photos, we can see that there are all the bits to call it a Volvo cabin right from the steering wheel and gear knob, all the way to the minimalistic dashboard which is dominated by a massive touchscreen infotainment system. The dashboard may be camouflaged but we can clearly tell the colour combination across the entire interiors is a grey-black combination.
The Volvo XC40 is a new mid-level crossover from the Swedish automaker and is being brought in to take on the likes of the BMW X3, Audi Q3 and Mercedes-Benz GLC. This vehicle was showcased as a concept car last year and is their competitor for a segment where they have never had a presence before. However, this will not be their entry-level vehicle as the company has indicated (rather let slip) that they are working on a 20 series range of vehicles to take on the Audi Q2, Mercedes-Benz GLA and the BMW X1.
