Volvo, the Swedish luxury carmaker, has revealed the Volvo V60 Cross Country ahead of its global debut at the Los Angeles Motor Show. The vehicle is expected to go on sale in International markets by early 2015. It is based on the Volvo V60, which is the estate version of the S60 sedan. The Cross Country features a rugged design which offers it a ‘go-anywhere’ character.
Volvo has increased the ground clearance of the Cross Country by 65mm, which makes it easier to drive through rough roads. Its flared wheel arches have been fitted to large 18-and 19-inch alloy wheels. The other additions include front and rear skid plates, side scuff plates and fender extenders.
Inside the cabin, the Volvo V60 Cross Country is equipped with sports seats which are finished in black leather with contrasting brown stitches. The company will also offer two new dual-tone leather upholsteries with the car. The Volvo V60 Cross Country will be propelled by a five-cylinder 250bhp petrol engine with AWD (All-wheel drive) as standard. The company will also introduce the Drive-E four-cylinder petrol and diesel engines for the European markets.
