Volvo Auto India has launched the petrol version of the S60 sedan – the S60 T6 - at Rs. 42 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). The Volvo S60 T6 petrol will be imported as CBU (completely built up unit), similar to its diesel variant.
Power for the S60 T6 petrol comes from a new 2.0-litre, four-cylinder direct-injected engine that churns out a maximum power of 306bhp at 5, 700rpm and 400Nm of torque. This engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission, coupled with front wheel drive system. The new S60 T6 is faster than the old model, which was powered with a 304bhp, 3.0-litre, six-cylinder petrol engine with all-wheel drive system. The new S60 T66 is capable to achieve 0-100kmph in 5.9 seconds with a top speed of 230kmph.
Coming to the features, the Volvo S60 T6 comes equipped a 7-inch infotainment system with navigation, DVD and Bluetooth, a digital TFT instrument cluster, leather seats, electronic climate control, power adjustable seats, parking assist, active bending lights with LED daytime running lights and 18-inches alloy wheels. Safety features like ABD (anti-lock braking system), EBD (electronic braking distribution), dual front and side airbags, whiplash protection system and city safety system are also on offer.
The new Volvo S60 T6 will take on the likes of Audi A4, BMW 3 Series 328i and Mercedes-Benz C-Class.
