Volvo releases first images of R-Design version of XC90 SUV

Swedish auto giant, Volvo has officially revealed images of the R-Design variant of all new XC90 SUV through a set of images. From the image given below it is clearly visible that the R-DesignXC90 will boast of sportier semblance. On the outside, the SUV is likely to get a redesigned front grille, bigger air intakes, 20 inch alloy wheels and chrome exhaust pipes.

Cabin has been tuned to make it drive centric with features such as R-Design contour sports seats covered in perforated leather. Leather bits are complemented by R-Design elements like sports seats, pedals, floor mats and illuminated tread plates.

The full-size SUV will target customers who long for a roomier vehicle. It is also expected that the new XC90 R-Design will be rolled out with a completely new XC90 range. Nothing much has been revealed about the vehicle, mechanical set up has also been kept under the wraps. However the company has revealed that the XC90 R-Design will be made available with an option of Drive-E engines engendering top power output of up to 400 Bhp. Apart from the XC90 R-Design special edition version of the new full-size SUV, Volvo lately also rolled out 1927 units of black First Edition of the SUV. Interestingly, the SUV got an overwhelming response from the customers and the entire 1927 units of the SUV were sold within 47 hours.
