      Volkswagen Vento facelift may be launched this month

      Facelifted version of Volkswagen Vento is expected to hit road sometime soon this month. The German carmaker has been a local favorite for quite a while now. Recently, Volkswagen had launched the upgraded Polo with a new diesel engine for the Indian market. Car fanatics have spotted the new Volkswagen Vento undergoing road test in the Indian market.

      It is said that Volkswagen has stopped the production of the existing Vento in order to make way for the new facelifted version. The upcoming new Vento facelift may be powered by 1.5 litre diesel engine that shall perform as a replacement for the 1.6 litre diesel engine. The diesel engine is capable of generating 105 Bhp of power with a peak torque output of about 250 Nm. Aside the optional 7-speed DSG automatic transmission, the new sedan is expected to receive 5-speed manual transmission as a standard option. The new engine performs almost the same as the older bigger engine.

      As for the petrol variant of the upcoming Volkswagen Vento, it shall be continued to be powered by 1.2 litre TSI engine alongside the 1.6 litre MPI engine. The 1.6 Liter MPI engine gets 5-speed manual transmission, whereas the 1.2 Liter TSI variant is available with seven-speed DSG automatic gearbox. Detailed report on pricing and technical aspect is not known for now, but it is anticipated that the car may be offered at slightly a higher price tag than the existing version. The newer version may receive fresh upgrades like new headlamps, alloy wheels and redesigned bumpers.
