In order to celebrate the ongoing festive season, Volkswagen has released pictures of an exclusive edition of their hatchback called the Polo AllStar on their official website. The AllStar edition is expected to be based on the Polo Highline. Though no official prices are announced yet, the AllStar edition is expected to cost around Rs 20,000 – 40,000 more than the regular variant of Polo.
According to the images on the website, the Polo AllStar gets minor cosmetic changes which include a new body colour called the blue silk, which is currently available on the Ameo. The other colours offered are flash red, candy white, toffee brown and reflex silver. It also gets a new 15-inch diamond cut alloy wheels. Also, there is an AllStar badging on the B-pillar.
On the inside, there are rear air-con vents and front centre armrest, both borrowed from the Vento. The car has new anthrazit fabric upholstery with a colour contrasting stripe running down the centre with a black and grey interiors, aluminium finished foot pedals, and an AllStar badging on the scuff plates.
The AllStar edition comprises of only the cosmetic changes, so mechanically the car will be powered by the regular Polo’s 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel making 74bhp and 89bhp respectively, both mated to a five-speed manual transmission.
