      Volkswagen Polo ranks high on customer satisfaction survey conducted by JD Power Initial Quality Study

      Global marketing information services firm JD Power's latest Initial Quality Study has featured Volkswagen Polo on top for customer satisfaction. The survey was conducted on the basis of 1000 point scale across ten factors. The Polo hatchback from Volkswagen scored about 872 points which indeed makes it highest amongst the rest. As compared to last year's figures the Polo hatchback has improved by about 17 points to claim the top spot. In the mid-size sedan segment, Volkswagen's Vento has claimed the third spot with 862 points which is about three points better than the previous year.

      The survey conducted by JD power surveyed about 8,422 new vehicle owners in India, who had purchased their vehicle between November 2013 to July 2014 across 30 cities in India. Since 16 years now, the vehicles had been gauged across 10 performance categories that includes vehicle interior, vehicle exterior, audio/ entertainment/ navigation, seats, heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), storage and space, engine/transmission, driving dynamics,visibility and driving safety, and fuel economy parameters.

      Speaking more on the occasion, Ruediger Kasparek, Head, Quality Assurance, Volkswagen Group India, commented, “Volkswagen is synonymous with German engineering and quality. Our success registered through the JD Power APEAL and the JD Power IQS studies, emphasizes how each and every aspect of the engineering of our cars translates into the highest level of customer satisfaction and quality that we aim to deliver. We are constantly taking feedback from our customers and implementing them in our products to make sure that they get nothing but the best.” 2014 JD Power India Initial Quality Study (IQS) conducts annual assessment programs by collecting ownership experience of new car owners who had purchased the vehicle about 2 to 6 months ago. The study covers over 200 problems spread across eight categories.
