Volkswagen Motorsport India is all set to begin the new season of Polo R Cup India. Shortlisted contenders will fight out with each other on the race circuits to be crowned winner of 2014 Volkswagen Polo R Cup. Pre-season contest will begin from May 24 and will be carried out until May 25, 2014. The pre-season contest will be organized at Kari Motor Speedway, in Coimbatore. Post the per-season camp, a fitness camp will be conducted on May 26th and May 27th in Bangalore. Competitive round will then start from May 30, 2014 to June 1, 2014 in Coimbatore.
The 2014 Polo R Cup India season began in March when drivers were shortlisted. Selected drivers have been practising ever since for the tournament. The pre-season test and fitness camp going to held before the competitive rounds will further help them to prepare for the challenges which they will encounter throughout the season.
Stern fitness regimes and increased track time will give drivers a chance to grow and sharpen their driving skills. Two testing sessions will be conducted under the new season for the drivers which will give them an opportunity to get to know the circuit and judge their performance for better. First test will begin on May 24, 2014 and will end on 25 May, 2014 before the competitive season commences. Second test will be organized at the Buddh International Circuit in Greater Noida this would be the mid-season.
Fitness camps will also be organized in two sessions, one will be conducted after the first test on May 26th and May 27th in Bangalore and the second will be organized before the mid-season. Nutritions has been roped in as the fitness partner by Volkswagen for their fitness campaign.
