German car maker Volkswagen has been a renowned brand in the Indian car-market. The Vento sedan has been a popular choice among the local population. Sleek design, refined performance and strong build quality has been synonymous with the Volkswagen brand in the country. The German car-maker Volkswagen has launched the 'Vento Preferred' at an attractive price tag of Rs. 10.74 Lakhs (Ex-showroom Mumbai). As per sources, the Vento Preferred sedan shall be available in petrol as well as diesel variant and is stated to be based on the mid-level Comfortline trim.
The sedan has just been launched and is expected to go on sales in about a week's time. Under the hood, the Vento Preferred edition shall be powered by 1.6 Liter petrol as well as a 1.6 Liter diesel engine that is mated to five-speed manual transmission. The diesel engine is capable of generating a power of about 103 Bhp with 250 Nm of torque output, whereas the petrol version generates about 103 Bhp of power with a top torque output of about 153 Nm.
On the exterior front, the Vento Preferred sedan gets sleek trunk spoiler, door rub-rails, door sill garnish, chrome window embellishment and stylish side door visors. The stylish exterior is well complimented with the seven-spoken alloys. The interiors look lively and carries an upmarket feel. Volkswagen has also payed much attention to delivering better comfort and ample space to the occupants. The sedan gets a windshield mounted satellite navigation unit that additionally functions as a display for a reversing camera.
