Ahead of the Ameo compact sedan’s expected launch in June, Volkswagen India has launched a new mobile app for the upcoming vehicle. The Ameo app allows potential customers to locate the nearest Volkswagen dealership and pre-book the Ameo. The 360-degree visualizer allows you to take a visual walk-around of the Ameo.
The Volkswagen Ameo app can be downloaded and installed in any Android device via Google Play Store. The iOS version is currently unavailable and might be introduced soon. The app features gallery that showcases the exterior, interior, safety images, functions and videos. It also gives out variant specifications and different colour options that are available. To further ease the buying process, the vehicle comes with click-to-call, email and locate supported by google map functions.
Under the hood, the Volkswagen Ameo will be offered in petrol and diesel engine options. The 1.2-litre, three cylinder petrol engine will generate 74bhp of power and 110Nm of torque. The diesel trim will be powered by a 1.5-litre engine which generates 89bhp of power and 230Nm of torque. The engines will come mated to five speed manual transmission, while seven speed DSG option might be offered in diesel guise.
