Volkswagen has begun deliveries of its Ameo compact sedan. The car was showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo and was launched for Rs 5.24 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The automaker has launched the car with only the petrol option while diesels will come later this year.
This move has come in the light of it upgrading the engine to increase power from 103bhp to 108bhp. While the increase is not too much, it is, however, expected to bump up the overall fuel efficiency.

Commenting on the launch, Michael Mayer, director, Volkswagen India said, “The Ameo has garnered positive response from the prospective customers ever since its debut at the Delhi Motor Show in February this year and its journey through key Indian cities.
