      Variant details for new Ford EcoSport leaked

      Variants details for the EcoSport facelift has been leaked ahead of its anticipated launch next month. Changes in the new model will be limited to cosmetic and feature upgrades while mechanically it is expected to continue being powered by existing engine options. The new model will be available in five variants - Ambiente, Trend, Trend+, Titanium and Titanium+.

      Facelifted Ford EcoSport

      Starting with the base EcoSport Ambiente variant, in terms of features it gets - safe clutch start, halogen quadbeam reflector headlamps with chrome bezel, body coloured bumpers, rocker and bumper cladding, dual reversing lamp, high mount stop lamp and variable intermittent wiper. The base variant also gets courtesy lamps at the front and rear, four-speakers, device dock and Bluetooth handsfree/audio stream. As for safety, the standard equipment list in the new EcoSport includes safe clutch start, dual front airbags, ABS with EBD front seat belts with pretensioners and load limiter, driver seat belt minder, crash unlocking system with light flashing, power door locks, engine immobiliser, approach lights and homesafe headlamps, emergency brake lights flashing, door ajar warning and rear child lock.

      In addition to all the features from the Ambiente variant, the EcoSport Trend variant additionally offers dual USB ports with illumination, two front tweeters, mobile navigation with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and microphone. The Trend variant will also offer audio and Bluetooth control on steering, and driver and passenger seat back map pocket.

      Moving one level up, the EcoSport Trend+ additionally offers rear parking sensors, puddle lamp on outside mirrors, electronic folding mirrors and load compartment light. The mid-level variant of the new EcoSport will also offer IP illumination dimmer switch, rear package tray, driver seat height adjust, driver window one touch up/down and front full console armrest with storage. These features are in addition to all the features from its lower variants.

      The second to top EcoSport Titanium variant in addition to all the features from the Trend+ variant will get projector beam headlamps, front and rear bumper applique, LED DRLs and locking wheel nut for alloy spare wheel. The Titanium variant also offers push start/stop and smart entry with capacitive sensor, rear seat centre armrest with cup holders, sunglass holder, leather steering knob and gear shift knob, front map lamps, sporty alloy pedal, high speed warning and multicolour footwell ambiente lighting. The automatic transmission option in the EcoSport Titanium variant gets paddle shift, HLA, ESC, EBA and TCS.

      The top of the line Titanium+ gets all the features from the Titanium variant. In addition to standard ones, it gets Isofix, automatic headlamps, glove box illumination, cruise control with adjustable speed limiter, side and curtain airbags, rain sensing wipers and tyre pressure monitoring system.

      Like the current generation model, the new EcoSport will also be available in three engine options – the 1.0-litre EcoBoost, the 1.5-litre petrol and the 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel. The 1.5-litre diesel generates 99bhp of power and 205Nm of torque. The four cylinder turbocharged diesel comes mated to a five-speed manual gearbox and drives the front wheels. The 110bhp 1.5-litre Ti-VCT four cylinder petrol engine gets two gearbox options – the five-speed manual and the six-speed dual clutch automatic gearbox. The 1.0-litre EcoBoost is the most powerful of the three at 124bhp of power and 170Nm of torque from 1400rpm and comes with a five-speed manual gearbox.
