Toyota Kirloskar Motor has finally launched the top-end variant of the Fortuner SUV in the country. The company has also updated the base variants of the company’s top-selling- Innova MPV. The Toyota Fortuner 4x4 AT is priced in the range of Rs. 24.17 lakh to Rs. 26.49 lakh ( ex-showroom, New Delhi.)
Earlier, Toyota Fortuner was also offered with an automatic gearbox but with 2 wheel drive variants. The new 4x4 AT variant is paired to a five-speed automatic gearbox, which sends power to all the four wheels of the SUV. It is powered by a 3.0-litre four-cylinder diesel engine that churns out a maximum power output of 171PS at 3,600rpm and a peak torque of 343Nm. This is now Fortuner’s flagship variant. The SUV is now offered in four variants- 4x2 MT, 4x4 MT, 4x2 AT and 4x4 AT.
The updated Toyota Innova is now priced in the range of Rs. 10.51 lakh to Rs. 15.8 lakh, ex-showroom, New Delhi. The company is yet to release the exact changes offered on the best selling MPV, but, media reports suggest that the vehicle now features dual SRS airbags as standard safety feature on all variants. The top-spec ZX variant now cost Rs. 73,000 more, which is due to increase in prices and changes in excise duty.
