The frolicking festive season might be over but the festivity still continues for car enthusiasts. BMW, the German automobile giant, has planned to launch the 2014 model of Z4 roadster in India on November 14. Albeit a bit late, the new BMW Z4 will be the third launch by the Bavarian auto maker in India this year, following its 1-Series that made appearance in September 2013. BMW Z4 will be making its entry in India almost after an year it was showcased at the Detroit Motor Show, in January. In all likelihood, this roadster is expected to cost a whooping price of rupees Rs. 70 lakh, however what is offered in return is an ultimate object of desire. Those who swear by the wallop of speed and swanky rides are sure to find the new BMW Z4 nothing less than a beauty with a retractable hardtop.

This high-speed beauty is expected to come equipped with standard features and equipment aplenty, including leatherette upholstery, power adjustable seats, bi-xenon headlights and 17-inch alloy wheels. BMW Z4 will also abound fringe benefits such as dual zone automatic climate control, an AM/FM/CD stereo system with HD Radio and AUX and USB inputs, Bluetooth smartphone connectivity, heated mirrors and rain sensing wipers.

BMW's two seater sports car, the Z4, is likely to come in the sDrive35i variant with the 6-cylinder 3.0-litre engine, which will belt out a maximum power of 303 bhp. The engine will come mated to a 7 speed dual clutch automatic transmission. This is the same gearbox that is available on the M5. The sDrive35i variant will return a mileage of 7.23 kmpl in city and 10.2 kmpl on highways. Talking of the interiors of BMW Z4, there will be gloss black trim for the air conditioning vent and an anthracite wood finish for the centre console. The car will be available in three colour options and a contrasted roof would be an option too.

BMW Z4 2014 is expected to match the power and the thrill of speed that can only be experienced in a sports car, unlike any other luxury car in the world. Although a fleet of high speed beauties like the Porsche Boxster, Audi TT and Mercedes SLK will be direct rivals to the updated roadster, BMW Z4 is still a force to reckon with. Right from looks to the overall performance, BMW Z4 has a certain allure to it that will leave auto aficionados asking for more.
