The BMW M4 is still a fairly new product, however, the Bavarian automaker is already at work readying a facelifted version. The latter was recently spotted testing in Munich.

Given that its a mild faceclift, there will be few revisions like a new front bumper with modified air-intakes and optional full-LED headlights instead of xenon lamps. That said, the more important changes will come in the form of updated driver assistance systems and comfort features such as the traffic-jam assistant from the 5 Series.

Power will continue to come from the punchy 3-litre in-line six-cylinder engine developing 430bhp and 550Nm of torque. The gearbox options – a 7-speed DCT and a 6-speed manual – will remain the same as well.

The M4 facelift will be introduced sometime next year and will continue to compete with the Audi RS5 and the Mercedes C63 Coupe.
