Tata Motors, the homegrown automaker, was struggling to gain any sales momentum in the country. But, the success of Zest compact sedan gave confidence to the company. Now, the company is aiming to launch a series of new products in the Indian market in next couple of years. Tata Motors is currently busy with the final preparation for the launch of much-awaited Bolt hatchback. However, the company has lot more to offer in 2015.

      Tata’s upcoming cars:

      Tata Bolt

      Tata Nano AMT

      Tata Safari Storme Facelift

Tata Kite hatchback and compact sedan

Just like the Falcon project (Zest and Bolt), Tata Motors is also working on an all-new project- Codenamed the Kite. The Kite project will include a sub-4 metre sedan and a compact hatchback. Both models have been spotted testing on Indian roads, and are expected to hit showrooms in the second half of 2015. While the sub-4 metre sedan will come as a replacement for the Indigo eCS, the small hatchback might replace the ageing Indica.

Interestingly, the company is also aiming to launch a more powerful Safari Storme facelift in the country. The vehicle would receive subtle changes to both exteriors and interiors. It will get a slightly modified front face with new honeycomb grille and restyled bumper. Inside, the SUV would feature a new infotainment system and few small changes. The bigger update is expected to its engine specs; the new Storme is expected to get more powerful version of the 2.2-litre VARICOR turbo diesel engine that also powers the Aria crossover. This engine is capable of producing 148bhp of power and 320Nm of torque.

Another interesting car to come is the Tata Nano AMT, which has been caught testing quite a few times. This model would also get better quality plastic and fit & finish. It will feature an electric power assisted steering, new instrument cluster, front power windows and better upholstery. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via an automated manual transmission gearbox.
