Mahindra's Bolero and Scorpio has been leading the sales number in the Utility vehicle segment in the country. The Scorpio SUV has just been recently launched in the country with fresh upgrades and improved dynamics. The new Scorpio has also received better safety features like ABS, tyre pressure monitoring system and rear parking sensors. News has been doing rounds that Mahindra may launch the new generation Bolero sometime early next year.
The upcoming Mahindra Bolero may be powered by 1.5 litre, twin-trubo diesel engine that has been serving the Quanto. The utility vehicle may also feature a four wheel drive option to further strengthen its presence in its segment in India. The upcoming vehicle is likely to feature a longer wheelbase than the current generation. Hydroformed chassis that is used in Scorpio is flexible in nature and features three parts namely - front, mid and tail section in varied track widths. A similar configuration shall also be used for the upcoming Bolero Utility vehicle.
Pricing aspect or technical specification for the upcoming Bolero facelift is unknown for now. On numerous instances the vehicle has been spotted undergoing road tests on local streets. For now the Bolero UV has been undergoing tests under code name U301.
