The month of July is laden with a slew of launches for Indian car buyers of all sorts. The auto industry has lined up various models to suit all kinds of taste starting from the next big “small car model” – Nissan Micra
Nissan has already begun road shows and weekend preview of the car at various major cities of India. It has also begun bookings for the car in select cities but it will begin deliveries only from July 15. Nissan still needs to develop its dealership network in India and has dealers only in Delhi, Mumbai, Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Pune, Ahmedabad, Cochin, Coimbatore, Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad.
Mitsubishi will launch the new Lancer Evo X model for Mitsubishi lovers in India. It will sell the car through its dealership network with Hindustan Motors. The car will be imported as a completely built unit in India and will come with hefty price tag of Rs. 30 lakh.
Skoda Yeti is also expected to be unveiled in July 2010. The company has begun a soft promo of the car and had organised a preview of the online bloggers, writers, social networkers including Tweeters in Delhi to get a closer look at the upcoming SUV from Skoda.
Hyundai is also expected to preview its SUV model Santa Fe in July but has not released any official statement so far. The company also remains tightlipped about its plans for an official launch.
Fiat had earlier planned to launch the Fiat Grand Punto Sportz model on June 17 but has deferred its plans till next month. The sports model is expected now to be available in July.
