Italian carmaker Fiat is know to deliver some of the finest cars across the globe. The Punto hatchback from the company in India has been a popular choice among domestic users. Recently, the carmaker in order to further boost its sales has launched the refreshed version of the hatchback christened as the Punto Evo. To further offer wider options, Fiat India has been planning on launching a new Punto T-Jet.
The Fiat Punto T-Jet being a performance oriented offering from the company, shall be powered by a 1.4-litre turbocharged engine that is capable of churning out a maximum power output of about 114 PS with a peak torque of about 207 Nm. Moreover, owing to a lower curb weight, the Punto T-jet is likely to be quicker than the Linea T-Jet. As for the styling aspect the vehicle is likely to get sportier styling, that also includes a new set of alloy wheels and body graphics.
More details about the vehicle shall be known at the time of official announcement being made by the company in this regard. Post launch it is likely to emerge as a strong competitor against the likes of Tata Bolt, Maruti Suzuki Swift and Volkswagen Polo hatchback.
