The newly launched Suzuki Gixxer SF, fully-faired version of the 155 cc bike, has got off to a really good start in the Indian two-wheeler market. Claimed to be the most economical fully-faired bike available, this bike is already commanding a waiting period of around two weeks in several parts of India. It is available at an ex-showroom price of above Rs. 80000 and has started off really well, according to reports.

Though the appearance of this bike has received mixed reactions from both critics and customers, the demand of Suzuki Gixxer SF is pretty high. A report by International Business Times suggests that a dealership in Bangalore has set down a waiting period of two weeks for Suzuki Gixxer SF.

Customers throughout the country can book the Suzuki Gixxer SF by making a down payment of Rs. 5000 and three colour options are available in this bike, Pearl Mirage White, Metallic Triton Blue and Glass Sparkle Black.

This bike is fitted with a single-cylinder powertrain that has a displacement of approximately 155 cc and delivers a maximum output of 14.6 BHP at 8000 RPM along with high torque of 14 Nm. Some of the main features of this bike include LED tail lamps, digital instrument cluster and clear-lens indicators.

Experts believe that Suzuki Gixxer SF has an excellent chance of becoming one of the bestselling bikes in Indian market due to its overall packaging. Though Suzuki Gixxer SF is only a 155-cc bike, it is likely to compete with Karizma R, which is a 223-cc bike. Experts feel that Suzuki Gixxer SF, being a new bike, can compete nicely with Karizma R in terms of appearance, features and pricing. However, the fact that Karizma R is an established bike and offers more power could prove to be a big obstacle.
