The most popular name in the Indian automobile market, Maruti Suzuki, is set for a couple of car launches in the year 2015. Like the previous years, the company is looking forward to bolster its product line in the new calendar. The top two launches of this year for Maruti Suzuki are listed below.
The Ertiga facelift variant is expected to be launched soon in the Indian market that will compete against the Mobilio from Honda. It will definitely add a variation to the class of SUVs in the Indian market. The powertrain of the car is expected to remain the same, at 1.3 litre multijet diesel engine and a 1.4 litre petrol engine. The former churns out a power of 89 bhp and 200 Nm of torque, while the latter delivers a maximum power output of 94 bhp as well as 130 Nm. The CNG model will be available as before.
Just like the Ertiga, the popular sedan from Maruti, the Swift Dzire will be given a facelift by the brand. This model has been one of the most successful cars in this segment. Last year, a series of updates were provided in the European and Japanese market. The powertrain of this car stays at 1.2 litres for the petrol variant and 1.3 litres for the diesel variant. Though, there might be some cosmetic updates, the car will still be provided with a four-speed automatic transmission. These two models will definitely boost the sales of Maruti models in India in 2015.
