The TVS XL Super in India has a new companion, TVS Motor Company has announced the launch of XL 100 in the country for Rs 29,539 (Ex-showroom, Tamil Nadu). The moped’s sale has been restricted to only Tamil Nadu for now owing to its demand in the region. The moped is available in five color options like – Blue, Grey, Red, Black and Green.
The TVS XL 100 comes with a 99.7cc single-cylinder, air-cooled, four-stroke engine that generates about 4.14 bhp at 6,000rpm and 6.3 Nm of torque. The moped is capable of achieving a top speed of about 60 km/h and return a decent mileage figure of about 67 kmpl. The vehicle weighs a mere 75kgs and has a fuel tank capacity of about 4-litres. Speaking more on the occasion, J S Srinivasan, Vice President, Sales and Service, TVS Motor Company said, "The all new four stroke moped TVS XL 100 has been designed to meet the evolving needs of today's customer and is one of the most affordable, reliable, easy to ride, powerful multi utility two wheelers in the market.”
