TVS Motor Company recently trumped Bajaj Auto to gather the third position in the domestic Indian two-wheeler market, indicating the sort of progress it has made in the recent pass. A company known mainly for its Scooty Pep model, TVS has now formed a stronghold in the bike market as well. TVS Star City Plus model has performed excellently well in the Indian market mainly due to two reasons – Mahendra Singh Dhoni and the bevy of features included in it.

While one cannot talk about MS Dhoni’s impact, the features can be explained quite well. This bike has been styled with a lot of detail, keeping in mind what would attract people in Tier-II and Tier-III cities across India. The fuel tank of this bike has a muscular design that makes it look stylish and its streamlined shape reduces the Coefficient of Fiction. An urban style model, the highlights of TVS Star City Plus include stylish honeycomb textured grills on side panels, 3D emblem made out of special fibre, tail lamp with reflective curvature, aluminium grab rail, coloured shock absorbers and Premium ecothrust logo on the muffler.

Comfort, as an aspect, is something that is loved by bikers in India due to poor road conditions, disturbing traffic and pollution. If the bike makes them feel comfortable, things get better and more are the chances of a model becoming successful. There are innumerable comfort features in this bike that make life easy for the rider, such as bright headlamps for better viewing, premium controls and grip, all gear electric start, easy access choke lever position and dual tone seats.

The main part of this bike, the engine, is a 109.7 cc engine that churns out an output of around 8 BHP along with peak torque of 8.7 Nm. Other highlights of this bike are multi function console, service indicator and ecometer.
