The bike is provided with the same Öhlins chassis as given in the current version of Triple R model. Besides to it, a new Phantom Black Version will be also available on the 2014 edition. The company has also changed the colour of wheels, which now sports red stripes alongside the same colour radiator cover. In the newly unveiled bike, an aluminium cast wheel is provided while forged one as given in the current generation Speed Triple R will be phased out. The word is that Triumph will bring it vehicles in the country through the Completely Knocked Down route and will be later assembling them at its Manesar facility.

The potential of India auto market has always fascinated the major auto makers, which in turn are expanding their bases to the country and Triumph seems to be following the same path. Even Paul Stroud, the Director of Sales & Marketing said “2013 is a very crucial year for Triumph Motorcycles in India and as a company, we are confident about the timing of our market entry. In the past few months, we have carefully assessed the market landscape and will be making well-honed efforts to provide our discerning customers with a complete brand experience.”

According to inputs from company officials, the company might launch its Bonneville, Street Triple, Speed Triple R, Daytona 675, Tiger 800 XC, Thunderbird Storm and Rocket III models in India. Going by what Triumph told at 2012 Delhi Auto Expo 2012, the bikes may be priced aggressively so as to offer competition to Harley-Davidson. Now with the Auto Expo 2014 fast approaching, the company might officially announce all the details regarding its expansion plans in India alongside the exact pricing of the motorcycles. As of now, no official information is available regarding the dealership network of Triumph in India and if sources are to be believed, the company will open its showrooms in various metropolitan cities initially after making its debut.
