The newly launched Toyota Yaris has received two third of the bookings for the CVT variant. The CVT transmission is optional across all variants namely - J, G, V, and the VX. Apart from convenience, the automatic variant also reportedly delivers slightly better fuel economy figures.
Limited to a petrol variant, the Yaris gets a 1.5-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine that generates 106bhp of power at 6,000rpm and 140Nm of torque at 4,200rpm. Besides the seven-speed automatic transmission variant, the Yaris is also available with a six-speed manual. As for pricing, the base automatic variant is priced at Rs 9.95 lakhs, while the top-spec VX automatic is priced at Rs 14.07 lakhs.
