Toyota Kirloskar Motors, the Indian subsidiary of Japan based leading car maker Toyota Motors, has uncovered the new generation version of its popular Multi Purpose Vehicle – Innova – in the Indian market. New 2012 Toyota Innova has got a number of cosmetic upgrades at both exterior and interior fronts.

The front profile of the vehicle, which hasn’t been liked by many in the country, is now been made more aggressive and fascinating. The trademark almond headlights of the Innova have been replaced with new wrap around lights which are more rectangular as compared to the previous one. Moreover, while the hood is blessed with attractive character lines, a wider grille has been placed with increased use of chrome on it. The overall impression of the car from the front looks somewhat similar to the Toyota’s luxury sedan Camry.

At the rear profile, the older tail-lamps have been replaced by the new clear lance lamps, offering a more urban look to the vehicle.

On the other hand, the changes at the interior front are very few including an integrated touch screen system that has been borrowed from Sports Utility Vehicle Fortuner. The remaining design and quality of the interior remains almost same as before.

However, the overall engine and dimension specifications will possibly remain same in the new Innova, as company may not look to interfere with the very successful engine combination of the vehicle.
