Toyota will further strengthen its foothold in the South American market with the upcoming Fortuner SW4 Diamond Edition. The special-edition model will be limited to a seven-seat layout. Changes will be limited to cosmetic upgrades only while mechanically it will continue to be powered by the existing engine options.

To distinguish the Diamond Edition from the regular Fortuner, the SUV gets a darkened chrome upper grille along with a black upper grille guard that has ‘SW4’ lettering on it. The vehicle also sports a black faux-brushed aluminium-finish skid plate. The sides are adorned with unique 18-inch alloy wheels, while the rear continues to resemble the regular model save for the Diamond Edition badging.

As for the interior, the Fortuner Diamond Edition gets a faux-bronze finish on the centre console that complements the new tan leather seats. The special edition vehicle gets a 10-speaker JBL sound system for entertainment and a unique white-coloured key fob with gold accent, which also has the ‘Diamond’ branding. The SUV will continue to be powered by the existing 2.7-litre petrol engine that generates 164bhp of power.

The company has no immediate plans to introduce the Fortuner Diamond Edition in India. More details about it will be known at a later date.
