The legacy of late actor Paul Walker, who passed away in 2013, seems to be growing in stature with each passing day. Fast and Furious 7, the latest instalment of the popular franchise, was a blockbuster at the box office and the tribute to Walker left everyone teary eyed at the film’s end. Now, all cars driven by Paul Walker in the entire seven-film series hold a significant and emotional place in the heart of fans. Fortunately for those who can afford it, American firm Mecum Auctions is going to auction a Walker-driven Toyota Supra at the 2015 Original Spring Classic event, which will be held during the month of May.

Many will remember this car from a scene in the first film, The Fast and the Furious (2001), during which Paul Walker drives it to beat a Ferrari model in a drag race. The Toyota Supra is a customised car designed by Eddie Paul, a mechanic who owns California-based entity called The Shark Shop. This model features a 2JZ-GE 3.0-litre engine mated to a five-speed manual gearbox and can produce up to 220 BHP of maximum power. Though it would be tough to beat a Ferrari with those figures, the car does come with NOS bottles from Holley Performance.

There are several other features in the Toyota Supra that facilitate an increase in speed, such as full roll cage, Jaz Products fuel cell, Dazz alloy, Bomex body kit, APR wing and heavy duty suspension. Lending a touch of the franchise theme are the wild graphics and orange paint job.

Interestingly, multiple versions of the Toyota Supra were made for the shooting of the film, which included a hero models and some for shooting actual stunts. The version being auctioned was a part of the final sequence and goes on to become the “10-second car” of actor Vin Diesel. Experts feel that this car will attract a lot of buyers due to the Paul Walker element attached to it.
