Toyota’s next-gen Camry is once again in the limelight after spy shots reveal the test mule to hide aggressive design cues under the wraps.
Inspite of the sporty styling that can be seen in the picture, the next Camry still holds a strong familiarity with the current model. On closer inspection, one can notice the sharper stance of the car thanks to the wider grille, angular headlights, a prominent shoulder line, integrated spoiler, provision for two exhausts, black wheels, and a low ride height.
Toyota’s next Camry is expected to weigh less as it will be underpinned by the TGNA platform which is also seen in the latest Prius. Toyota should power the new Camry with a series of engines like the reworked 2.5-litre four-cylinder (Atkinson cycle) motor to aid better fuel economy, a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine, and a hybrid powerplant.
