Evidently, the LFA was the first super sports car from stables of Toyota's Lexus marque. The company had already claimed that the hand built supercar will be offered to speed and thrill seeking aficionados across the globe for a maximum of 500 units. The LFA has been Lexus's flagship offering in its F Performance lineup, since the start of its production exactly two years ago.

Toyota Motor Corp's Lexus subsidiary had begun manufacturing operations of its much fawned upon LFA super sports car in December 2010. The company assembled one unit of LFA per day with the help of especially trained and highly skilled workers at its Motomachi based manufacturing facility. Reportedly, some 170 hand picked Lexus employees handled the manufacturing, parts, assembly and painting operations for the LFA project. The last assembled unit of the hand built LFA supercar that was rolled out is trimmed with the renowned special 'Nurburgring' package.

Commenting on the last Lexus LFA coming out of the company's production unit, Haruhiko Tanahashi, Chief Engineer, Lexus Future Advance, said, “I’ve lived and breathed supercars for the past decade. Specifically one supercar, LFA. Very few people have the opportunity we had to create a world-class supercar from a blank sheet of paper.”

The Lexus LFA super sports car is powered by a 4.8 litre V10 powertrain, which churns out a whopping power output of 552 bhp and a mammoth torque delivery close to 480 Nm. The drivetrain incorporated is a 6 speed electro hydraulic manual transmission (a type of semi automatic gear box). Further, the stylish supercar sprints from 0 to 60 mph (or 0 to 100 kmph) in just 3.7 seconds and could reach a maximum speed of 202 mph or 322 kmph.
