Toyota Prius is known to be one of the world’s most eco-conscious cars and it has one of the most leading fuel consumption features like 38km per liter. Apart from its fuel efficiency, other features of Toyota Prius that make it eco-conscious car are a solar powered ventilation system, bio-based optional floor mats, and environment-friendly plant-derived plastics for seat cushion foam, cowl side trim, inner and outer scuff plates, and deck trim cover.
The solar powered ventilation system keeps interiors of the car cooled without any need of engine power. Moreover, the car is kept cooled with first remote controlled air conditioning system operated by the car’s key fob. This means that the car is not heated up and full blast operation of air condition is not required while entering the car on a sunny day. This system lowers the emission levels of the car.
Toyota will showcase at least 5 new models at the Frankfurt Auto Show. One of the most prominent ones expected at the show is Auris Full Hybrid Concept Car. It will be the first model that will incorporate Hybrid Synergy Drive (HSD) system across Toyota’s model range. This new model will have an option of plug-in capability used in Prius due to which the car can operate like a conventional electric car with short driving range. Toyota will initially lease 150 units of its concept car early next year for field trial.
