Toyota's Innova has been a popular choice in its segment. As per updates from sources the much awaited 2016 model would be named as 'Innova Crysta'. With just about less than week left for the 2016 Auto Expo event to begin in the country, the company would unveil the new model during the event. Apart from the design upgrades, the new Innova would also be offered with a new 2.4-litre GD series engine that comes as a replacement to the 2.5-litre diesel engine. Though slightly smaller in size, the new engine generates a powerful 147 bhp.
Owing to recent Supreme Court order on banning diesel cars with engines bigger than 2,000cc, it is likely that the new Toyota Innova Crysta may also be offered with a 2.0-liter Dual VVT-i petrol engine option. In terms of features, the 2016 Innova would be loaded with standard 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, LED mood lighting, leather upholstery, dual-zone climate control, power windows and full-power windows. Additionally, customers also get a chance to opt for interesting features like Bluetooth telephony and SD card support, navigation system and voice command recognition.
In terms of dimensions, the vehicle measures 1,795mm in height, 180mm longer and 4,735mm in length. Additionally, the vehicle is about 60mm wider and 45mm taller than the current model. The 2016 Toyota Innova Crysta retains existing wheel base measuring about 2,750mm.
