With an objective to counter the competition, Toyota Kirloskar Motor is planning to unveil at least 3 cars at the 2014 Delhi Motor Show in February. The new generation Corolla and Etios Cross will be the highlight of the show. The company might also showcase the facelifted Fortuner at the event. With Etios Cross, the company will rival Volkswagen Cross Polo and the upcoming Fiat Punto Adventure Crossover, while the new Corolla will be an answer to the new generation Skoda Octavia and likes.

The new Corolla has already been launched in the Indonesian market. It is wider and longer than the current generation model, while the wheelbase has been extended by 100mm. The new model is expected to get the same 1.8-litre petrol engine, which will be tuned to offer more power output. This engine will be mated to either a six-speed manual and/or a four-speed automatic transmission. The oil burner 1.4-litre too will be retained.

The Etios Cross will have a new set of 15-inches 10-spoke alloy wheels, black and silver body cladding, large bars on the roof, an integrated bumper guard at front, rear spoiler and a new fog lamp cluster, which distinguish it from the hatchback and offers an aggressive stance. Inside the cabin, the vehicle has adjustable headrests, black seat fabric and chrome enhancements on the dashboard etc. The crossover is expected to be powered by the same 1.4-litre D4D diesel engine that develops 69PS and the 1.5-litre petrol engine producing 90PS. However, the company hasn't said anything about the pricing and other details of the car, we are expecting it to be priced around Rs 6-6.5 lakh.
