Toyota Motors, the Japanese auto maker, has launched a special limited edition model of the Etios sedan, which has been marketed as Etios TRD Sportivo. The new car is provided with few cosmetic changes, which makes it look different from the current generation model. Interestingly, the limited edition TRD Sportivo happens to be an essence of ‘G’ variant of the Etios sedan with few changes in exteriors and interiors.
The modifications done in the limited edition model includes new 15-inch alloy wheels, body kit including bumper spoilers at the front and rear, side skirts, TRD Sportivo decals on doors, TRD Sportivo badging, chrome plated gear knob and dual tone upholstery with logos of TRD Sportivo.
Similar to the limited edition Etios Liva TRD Sportivo, which was introduced in July 2012, the special edition model of its sedan also features no upgrades in the technical configuration. By adding a new model in the Etios line-up, the car maker is targeting to boost its sales in the upcoming festive season, wherein a large number of individuals tend to purchase new cars.
In order to cater the demand of a large number of buyers, the auto maker has offered its new model in petrol as well as diesel options. The petrol variant of Etios TRD Sportivo has been tagged with a price of around Rs. 6.25 lacs (ex-showroom Delhi), whereas its diesel model has been offered at Rs. 7.31 lacs (ex-showroom Delhi).
