      Toyota Etios Cross launched in India at Rs 5.76 lakh, export on cards

      Indian arm of Toyota, Toyota Kirloskar Motors has launched the new Etios Cross in India at a starting price of Rs 5.76 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Launched in petrol and diesel guise, the new Etios Cross is being offered in four trims with two variants in each guise. The petrol range starts from Rs 5.76 lakh for the basic G version and the high end petrol trim, V is available for sale at Rs 7.35 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Diesel trims, GD and VD are priced at Rs 6.90 lakh and Rs 7.40 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) respectively. The vehicle is also available for sale in Brazil, Toyota plans to export the crossover from India to other overseas markets.

      In the front, Etios Cross gets an aggressive grille, other exterior features include a rear defogger with wiper, fog lamps with integrated turn indicators, robust and chic roof rails, modish diamond cut alloys, side cladding, dynamic rear cladding with badging and roof spoiler. Interiors are done in Piano Black colour, sporty seat fabric with white stitch and logo render a sporty look to the cabin, a 2 DIN Audio with Bluetooth, USB, AUX-in and remote is also equipped inside the car. Besides the forenamed features, leather wrapped steering wheel and audio controls mounted on steering wheel ups the comfort quotient inside the cabin.

      Among the comfort and convenience features, an optimised suspension compatible for Indian roads, AC, driver seat height adjuster, rear window defogger and tachometer with digital clock are available in the new Etios Cross. Toyota has embedded preeminent safety features like ABS with EBD and dual front airbags in the vehicle.

      Toyota has packed Etios Cross crossover with a 1.2 litre, DOHC petrol engine that develops a maximum power of 80 PS at 5,600 RPM. A 1.5 litre, DOHC petrol engine is also on offer that generates a high power output of 90 PS. Diesel variants are powered by a 1.4 litre D4D motor that belts out a top power of 68 PS at 3,800 RPM.

      Toyota is offering the new Etios Cross in eight colour options including Inferno Orange, Ultramarine Blue, Classic Grey, Symphony Silver, Celestial Black, White, Vermilion Red & Harmony Beige.
