Japanese carmaker Toyota has been a popular choice among car buying lot in the country. The brand that stands out in terms of quality has offered airbags as a standard feature in its line-up in the country. Among the current lot, the Etios Liva hatchback and Etios sedan have already received airbags as a standard equipment. This time around the feature shall make its way to the Innova MPV as well. As per reports, the base trim shall get only the driver's side airbags as a standard equipment.
Toyota cars in India get airbags as standard feature
Toyota has not spoken in much detail about the pricing aspect for now, but it likely that the company may hike the prices by about Rs. 45,000. Currently, only Volkswagen has been the only brand that delivers airbags as a standard feature in its cars in India and the Toyota's new decision can indeed further strengthen the competition between the two. As for the upcoming facelift trim of Innova, you can also expect the vehicle to receive upgraded rear AC vents and other cosmetic changes.
