Toyota Camry Hybrid 2012, one of the most awaited premium sedans in the global market, launched in the US market on Wednesday. The new Camry Hybrid carries a series of improvement as compared to its predecessors. The car is priced reasonably despite the fact that it carries a number of additional features as against previous models of this series. While the Camry Hybrid LE model carries a price tag of $25,900, the XLE models is priced $27,400 (about $800 less than the previous model).
The new Camry Hybrid is highly fuel efficient and offers a fuel economy of 43 miles per gallon at highways and 39 miles per gallon in the city driving conditions. The new 2012 Toyota Camry Hybrid carries a new Display Audio System along with 6.1 inch touch screen navigation system.
Powered by a 2.5 liter Atkinson cycle four cylinder gas engines, the new Camry Hybrid delivers a peak power of 156 bhp @ 5700 rpm with a peak torque of 199 lb-ft @ 4500 rpm. On the other hand, the electric motor joined with the engine delivers 105 kW at 4500 rpm along with a 199 lb/ft from 1000 to 1500 rpm. Together, the engine and electric motor deliver a power of over 200 bhp.
