Japanese automaker Toyota has recently revealed its plans to increase the production of popular Etios trims in Brazil that includes Etios, Liva and Etios Cross variants. Currently, the Sorocaba Plant in Sao Paulo produces about 74,000 units, which now the company plans on increasing it to about 1,08,000 units. For this purpose the company plans making an additional investment of about 100 million Brazilian real and may be used sometime by the beginning of 2016.
Speaking more on the occasion, Koji Kondo, president of Toyota do Brasil LTDA, said: "This expansion of Etios production at our Sorocaba Plant is a result of always listening carefully to customer feedback to produce ever-better cars. In that respect, I feel that the Etios series is one that has been raised and nurtured by Brazilian consumers. We will continue to carry out business with a community-based approach in the hope of contributing to Brazil's society and economy."
