      Toyota aims big for this years festive season, introduces limited edition models of Etios, Corolla, Fortuner

      Toyota Kirloskar Motor has introduced the limited edition versions of its three flagship models, namely Etios entry-level sedan, Corolla Altis premium sedan and Fortuner Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV). The move is expected to boost the sales in festive season this year. Confirming the above statement, the auto maker said, “Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has introduced a line up of limited edition models for the festive season. The lineup has been specially introduced to bring in new product excitement during the festive season.”

      The statement further said that the limited edition models include Corolla Altis, Etios TRD Sportivo, and Fortuner TRD Sportivo. In order to cater a large number of buyers, the auto maker has introduced Etios TRD Sportivo in both petrol and diesel options and is priced between Rs. 6.2 lacs and Rs. 7.35 lacs. 
       
      “Only 1,200 exclusive units of the Limited Edition vehicle will be sold till the month of December 2012,” the statement said later. Reportedly, the auto maker will offer 500 units of its limited edition Corolla Altis in both the fuel options, priced between Rs. 11.50 lacs and Rs. 12.90 lacs. Considering the part of Fortuner, the company has decided to offer 600 units of the limited edition model, which will be offered till December 2012. Toyota said, “Available in 4x2 manual and automatic transmission, the vehicles are priced at Rs 21.76 lacs and Rs 22.60 lacs (ex-showroom, Delhi) respectively.”

      Expressing his views on these launches, the Deputy Managing Director (Marketing) of TKM, Sandeep Singh quoted, “We have introduced a whole new range of limited edition vehicles to provide our customers something new and trendy for the festive season. Limited units of these vehicles are on sale till December to provide exclusivity.”
       
      With this move of the car maker, industry experts believe that Toyota is trying to bring a complete overhaul in its entire product portfolio, for instance, in September 2012 it introduced the Innova Aero limited edition model. 
       
      Besides Toyota, the under pressure Indian auto industry has pinned high hopes on the sales of this year’s festive season and thus, has planned a series of new models in the few couple of days, which are sure to lure the hearts of Indian buyers.
