There has been a growing popularity of high-performing bikes in India. Most two-wheeler manufacturers have started manufacturing heavier bikes. As the youth have started shifting their focus towards these monster machines, there has been a gradual shift from daily commuter motorcycles to high power output machines. Whether it is Bajaj, Hero or Yamaha, all have started manufacturing such machines. As a result, it has given rise to a competition among the comparative models of these manufacturers. In this aspect, Hero CBZ Xtreme, Bajaj Pulsar 200 and Yamaha R15 have been pitted against each other.

Hero Motocorp CBZ Xtreme

Hero CBZ Xtreme has provided stiff competition to Bajaj Pulsar in this aspect. This 149.2 cc bike has an air-cooled 4-stroke engine, which is capable of generating 14.4 bhp of power and a torque output of 12.8 Nm. The first of the CBZ models was launched back in the 90s and the model has been in the market ever since. Several cosmetic as well as mechanical updates were carried out. The bike is one of the leading in this segment and has consistently impressed the youth and middle-aged, alike over the years.

Yamaha took the style and performance aspect to the next level with its flagship bike, R15. The 150 cc engine is capable of producing a maximum power of 16.7 bhp at the rate of 8500 rpm. The twisting force generated from this bike is 15 Nm at the rate of 7500 rpm. Power is transmitted to the wheels via a six-speed gearbox. Apart from the performance aspects, the bike has a superior looks and bold appearance, which is one of the major reasons for its immense popularity. These models have taken biking to the next level in India, which is also the reason that India has grown as a stupendous market for two-wheelers.
