      Top 5 Car launches at the 2016 Auto Expo

      Many cars, bikes, concepts, SUVs have been revealed at the 2016 Auto Expo, but which are the top 5 of these? Which ones should you see at the Expo? We share the ones you need to visit when you visit the Motor Show.
       
      Volkswagen Ameo: The Volkswagen Ameo is a new compact sedan that has been made for the Indian car market. This competes with the Maruti DZire, Hyundai XCent and the Honda Amaze. This is the new Volkswagen that will come with a 1.2-litre petrol engine and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. The Volkswagen Ameo will come with cruise control, in-dash touchscreen system with Mirrorlink, automatic headlamps, rain sensing wipers and the diesel will even have DSG on offer.

      Tata Kite 5: The Tata Kite 5 is the second compact sedan that will be making its way into the Indian car market. This is another compact sedan that will be placed below the Zest. This is powered by a 1.05-litre diesel engine and a 1.2-litre petrol engine. This will come with a five-speed manual transmission and this might even come with an AMT as well. This is based on the Zica platform and will reach the showrooms sometime in early 2017.
       
      Chevrolet Essentia: Chevrolet is planning to launch a new compact sedan the Essentia and it will based on the new Beat platform. The Essentia will have features like seven-inch touchscreen system, reverse parking camera, satellite navigation and space will be one of the strong USPs of this sedan. The Essentia’s powertrain hasn’t been disclosed but its launch is in 2017.

      Jaguar XE: The XE is the new baby Jag has made its way into India. This new sedan is powered by a 2.0-litre petrol engine and has been launched for Rs 39.90 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi) price. The XE is available in two states of tuning on this engine and comes with an eight-speed transmission. The XE competes with the BMW 3 Series, Audi A4 and the Mercedes-Benz C-Class.
       
      BMW 7 Series: The new-generation of BMW’s flagship model has been launched at this 2016 Auto Expo. The new generation 7 Series is lighter, faster and even more fuel efficient. With the reduction in weight, the driving dynamics has been further enhanced. The new 7 series doesn’t just have more power but at the same time it comes with a lot more features too.
