We’ve a huge thing for fancy big bikes. There was a time where there was no big bike manufacturer in India and all we were left was with small bikes and second hand premium bikes, which sometimes turned out to be illegally imported to India. Times have changed and we’ve the world’s best big bike manufacturers doing business in India. And with this, there are a lot of buyers who wants to get hands on one. With online websites like BikeWale in place, it’s easy for Indian consumers to get a wide range of information on these big bikes. In this edition, we list out the top 3 most popular big bikes in May.

Top 3 most popular bikes in May
Top 3 most popular bikes in May

      Rank 3: Benelli TNT 600i
The TNT600i is the most affordable inline-four motorcycle one can buy in India. It was the talk of the town when it got launched two years ago. The sound of the inline-four engine was all that convinced a lot of buyers to put down their money. With over 10,000 visitors in May, the TNT600i was the third most popular big bike on BikeWale in May. But the best part is, close to 57 per cent visitors showed interest in buying this bike, which is a very big number. Majority of the visitors for the TNT600i came from Mumbai and Bengaluru, whereas Delhi and Chennai took the next two spots, respectively. Pune being a smaller city came fifth.

      Rank 2: Ducati Scrambler Icon
The coolest looking bike in this list – the Ducati Scrambler Icon is Ducati’s highest selling bike worldwide. And it wasn’t a surprise when it took the second spot here. In fact, there’s a big difference between the Scrambler Icon and the second most popular Ducati bike which is the Diavel. So to make your life easy, read these stats. Over 12,000 visitors, 52 percent buying interest and once again, researchers from Mumbai took the top spot. Bengaluru and Delhi came second and third respectively.

      Rank 1: Harley-Davidson Street 750
The Street 750 needs no introduction – the most accessible, affordable Harley one can buy in India. Very competitively priced and it’s made in India. So cheaper to service too. And this has resulted in Street 750 to become the most popular big bike in May. Close to 50,000 visitors, 30 per cent of them showed interest in buying it. And just like every time, researchers from Mumbai showed the maximum interest for the Street 750, followed by Delhi and Pune.
Shockingly, Triumph Motorcycles has lost ground and none of its bikes made it to the top 5 list. The fourth and fifth spot were taken by the Kawasaki Z800 and the Hyosung Aquila Pro. The British manufacturer has one of the widest range of products in India, but it’s still failing to attract buyers and researchers.
