Skoda is ready to launch three new variants of its popular hatchback model, Fabia in India. Skoda Fabia is the premium hatchback model in the company’s product portfolio and marks a strong Skoda presence in the small car segment.

According to a top company executive, Chanchal Pal, Skoda will launch three new variants of Fabia this year including the sports variant, Skoda Fabia Sportsline. “We will launch multiple variants of the Fabia to leverage on its popularity. We will introduce Fabia Combi (estate version) and the tallboy Roomster models to consolidate the brand in the Indian market. We will also showcase the Fabia Rally car, though it will not be available for retail sale,” Skoda’s head (sales and marketing) Thomas Kuehl said.

Currently, Skoda Fabia comes in 1.2L and 1.6L capacity but the new sports model will be powered by a 1.8L petrol engine and will sport newly designed interiors. It will be a complete flashy model with chic exteriors as well to suit the premium customers in the small car segment.
