      Third edition of Audi Twin Cup concluded in New Delhi

      German automobile manufacturer, Audi, recently organised the Audi Twin Cup in New Delhi. This was the third edition of the prestigious event and participants had come from all over the country to compete. The six best service and six leading technical teams took part in exhilarating final rounds for the title, which were held over a span of two days. Head of Audi India, Joe King, awarded 'Audi Mumbai South' in the Service category and 'Audi Ludhiana' in the category of Technology.

      Traditionally, the Audi Twin Cup is a competition of systematic customer orientation as well as a test of technical knowledge. Those participants who have a flair for both stand a real chance of winning this event. Apart from being tested in initial stages, the finals lay more emphasis on cooperative skills between service advisors and technicians with efficiency. This, undoubtedly, is one of the prerequisites for providing perfect and outstanding services in all fields of dealership. Competitors have to showcase their skills in identifying faults in prepared automobiles, find out the most apt solutions and display commendable interpersonal skills while communicating with customers.

      Audi Ludhiana showed their expertise in Technical Skills and was given immense competition by the team from Chennai. In the end, it was Audi Ludhiana that emerged as the winner in this category, followed closely by Audi Chennai, the runner-up. Members Audi Mumbai South showed their dexterity in the field of customer service and edged out the team from Hyderabad to bag the prize. Audi Hyderabad had to stay content with the runners-up prize in the Service Category. The finals were much-awaited wherein the participants displayed their skills and had a healthy competition, which pleased one and all present at the venue.

      Adding further, King, said, “We are very pleased with the quality of technical knowledge demonstrated. Our technology and service teams scored well in an Audi AG moderated framework, which means that they were evaluated on the same level as other markets internationally. This exceptional performance in such a challenging environment is truly commendable. This initiative helped us to elevate the technicians’ importance and role in contributing to the success of Audi in India. This recognition we believe, will be one of the pillars to support our Audi partners to motivate their talented technical staff."

      The Audi Twin Cup has been organised on a global scale since 1996. All dealers in the network take part in this championship with keen interest. The total number of participating teams in two fields of service advisors and dealer technicians was 266 in the third edition of Audi Twin Cup. Also, winning teams in the Indian competition will take part in the World Finals, which are scheduled to take place in the 3rd Quarter of 2014.
