Maruti Suzuki has come up with a new model, which is anticipated to deliver a stiff competition to the same segment models. The Maruti Suzuki YRA is a premium hatchback model retaining the classic mark of the signature Suzuki alloy wheels. In length, it is rumored to pass the 4-meter mark and thus, this would be around a tad bit longer than the iconic Swift DZire. The spotted prototypes also suggest that it will sport daylight LEDs. The car will have a spacious and comfortable design, complete with premium features that would give it a rich feel. It also has low ground clearance, adding to its sporty looks.

The price of the car will be around 6 to 9 lakh rupees, a level above the Swift DZire. It is a new treat for the Indian car market that is currently flooded with a range of new models. Sources close to the development process revealed that the car might possibly be displayed at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo.

Seeing from the mechanical aspect, the car will feature a 1-liter turbocharged K10 petrol engine, which uses a direct injection turbocharger technology to belt out an output of 90 bhp with peak torque of 140 Nm. Though there is no confirmation to this news, it will most probably be a new indigenous turbo engine unlike any other. This 5-door car looks like a mini van in size. On the design side, it features a waterfall design grille with a dash of chrome on both- the grille as well as the logo. The sloping roof looks quite stylish whereas its large door will provide enormous loading space.

Whatever may be its specifics, it is definitely going to sell like hot cakes. Hyundai's Elite i20, Honda's Jazz and Fit will face pressure in both domestic as well as international markets.
