Few images of a possibly next generation Honda Civic have surfaced which leave the readers guessing whether it is the next generation Honda Civic 2012 model. Currently the model is in its eight generation and Honda seems to be gearing towards the launch of the ninth generation model in next two years.
Honda Civic is expected to be competing with models like Hyundai Elantra and Suzuki Kizashi of which the latter is ready to foray into the Indian market by December this year. The new model does not feature any major changes but the interiors are rumoured to be inspired from the current Honda CRZ and mainly bespeak of futuristic designs. One of the strongest speculations is that Honda is working on a new improved engine which will power the next generation Honda Civic making it a more fuel efficient and more eco-friendly model by reducing its CO2 emissions.
The model is expected to be introduced in the international market by mid of 2011 and will go on sale commercially by end 2011 or early 2012.
